The human body contains what is called the endocannabinoid system (endo meaning within). This system creates chemicals called anadamide and 2-AG. These endogenous cannabinoids are chemical messengers that help all the body systems "talk" to each other. They help to regulate neurotransmitters, regulate pain and inflammation, and in general are very healing. Because these chemicals are made on demand as needed, deficiencies can occur when we exposed to chronic stress, pain, trauma, environmental toxins and chronic disorders of the gastrointestinal system, immune system and cancer.
When the body becomes depleted of endocannabinoids, fortunately the solution to this is to take phytocannabinoids, such as hemp or medical grade cannabis. The reason this works is because phytocannabinoids have an almost identical structure to anadamide and 2-AG, and fit on the receptors waiting for our own endocannabinoids that are unable to keep up with the demand.
Fortunately, hemp is adequate for this task and has proven to be very helpful with many disorders, and can be used as a complement to allopathic protocols. As a practitioner, the company I work with, Plus CBD, allows me to purchase their oil in bulk so I can formulate for general or custom use. It is recommended to have a short consultation with me for the use of cannabis as there are some contraindications one should be aware of. Although it is not a panacea, cannabis is helping millions of people worldwide regain and manage their health, and here at Reindeer Bridge, we strive to make it as safe for you as possible.
